Dick Hensold Bagpipers Dick Hensold is a consummate musician who has been full-time for the past 30 years, playing numerous concerts, festivals, and theatrical shows. Though internationally-known as a player of the rare Northumbrian smallpipes, he is also available for performance on the Great Highland Bagpipe for events in Minnesota. As a player of the Highland pipes, his experience allows him to play the most appropriate music with perfect timing. His other instruments are also available at no extra charge. Dick Hensold is the leading Northumbrian smallpiper in North America, and for the past 20 years has performed and taught in England, Scotland, Japan, Canada, and across the United States. Based in St Paul, MN, he is a full-time musician, passionately presenting the traditional music of Scotland, Cape Breton Island, and Northumberland, as well as Nordic folk music, early music, and traditional Cambodian music.
